It is September 19 in Trieste. the first live meeting of the RENEWPORT project was held. The RENEWPORT project was started on January 1, 2024. and until this meeting in Trieste, the partners had the opportunity to meet at two online meetings and to start certain activities.
As this is the first physical meeting, it started with the presentation of the partners and their expectations, as well as a review of previous activities. The RENEWPORT project is financed by the Interreg Euro-ME program and "Port of Bar" JSC is implementing two projects TREASURE and RENEWPORT within the framework of this program.
As the project is already in the second period of implementation, some technical activities have already started and among them is the Preliminary study for the development of the RENEWPORT RES toolkit for MED ports, which was formed by the partner Port Authority of Valencia (Spain) with an individual contribution from each partner based on their local experiences. On the basis of this preliminary study within the framework of the RENEWPORT project, the development of a tool that will monitor the development and utilization of renewable energy potential in the areas covered by the RENEWPORT project is expected. "Port of Bar" JSC plans to install a system of solar panels with a canopy in the parking lot in front of the administrative building.
