The President of the Board of Directors of "Port of Bar" JSC, Dušan Masoničić and his Deputy, Nikola Vojvodić, participated in the 13th meeting of the Technical Committee for Maritime Affairs and Multimodality, which was held in Chisinau, organized by the Transport Union.
The event brought together key actors from the region and international institutions, with the aim of strengthening sustainable and digital trade routes, as well as with the aim of improving logistics concepts. Representatives of "Port of Bar" JSC participated in panel discussions during which the implementation of the Action Plan for water transport and multimodality was discussed, with a special emphasis on the decarbonization of the maritime sector and innovative solutions in logistics.
In his presentation, Masoničić presented the activities and projects implemented by the Port of Bar in order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and improve energy efficiency. He emphasized investments in the electrification of port machinery, the introduction of renewable energy sources and the development of infrastructure for powering ships from the shore (OPS). The importance of regional cooperation and international support in the further implementation of sustainable port technologies was emphasized.
The participation of representatives of the Port of Bar in gatherings such as the meeting of the Technical Committee for Maritime Affairs and Multimodality is extremely important, because it is a significant step in the process of integrating the region into wider European transport flows. Also, all these activities show our company's commitment to constant development and capacity improvement, in accordance with the principles of green transition and sustainable development.
