The finding of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar showed that there are no grounds for initiating criminal prosecution against any person and for any criminal offense for which prosecution is undertaken ex officio, after the evaluation of the contents of the case files formed on the occasion of the fall of three transshipment bridges - cranes, on 07/02/2024. year. This opinion was submitted by the State Prosecutor, Ms. Nusreta Arapović, to the management of Luka Bar today, December 16, 2024. year.

Although the consequences after the accident caused by natural disasters, and now officially after the findings of the expert and the opinion of the ODT, without any omission or fault of the human factor, are large and difficult for our company, this finding gives us a certain moral and professional satisfaction. In the days after the accident, by reviewing our internal procedures, checking whether all rules and procedures were followed, we very quickly concluded within the company that on July 2, 2024. an unprecedented natural disaster occurred that caused damage for which it is not possible to blame anyone from the system. Of course, we refrained from giving any opinions or announcements, until experts and competent institutions give their opinion.

What remains the most important thing after the accident in July is that there were no human casualties in the Port of Bar. Great material damage will be compensated, and the lives of our workers have no price.

We have already undertaken activities on the procurement of a new mobile port crane, from our own funds. We expect that in the coming period we will have the help of the State, because this purchase is only one step in repairing the enormous damage we suffered, and we were forced due to the functioning of the Port to take that step ourselves.
