The Port of Bar is a joint-stock company whose main activity is the handling and storage of goods. 

The company is organized in accordance with the Company Law of Montenegro and represents a corporately, logistically, and techno-technologically integrated entity. With a high level of professionalism and business conduct, as well as openness and transparency in its operations, the Port efficiently and effectively fulfills its role both internally and externally, in an environment that is constantly and continuously changing. 

The Port of Bar has been restructured in accordance with the Restructuring Program of the Government of Montenegro. On September 4, 2009, the Shareholders' Assembly passed a Decision on restructuring through the separation and establishment of a new joint-stock company, “Container Terminal and General Cargo.”
